Govansh Bachao Abhiyan

About the Campaign

Govansh Bachao Abhiyan is a free vaccination drive focused on protecting cows
from Lumpy Skin Disease, a viral infection that has severely affected cattle
across parts of the desert region. The campaign involves mass immunization of cows to curb
the disease’s spread, safeguard livestock health, and support rural farmers’ livelihoods.

Our Mission & Achievements

We launched this Abhiyan in 2021 with the mission of protecting and preserving
the cattle population in the region. Since its inception, the campaign has successfully vaccinated
more than 20,000 cows, providing critical protection against life-threatening
diseases such as Lumpy Skin Disease.

Ongoing Efforts

The initiative continues to operate actively, conducting door-to-door veterinary support,
awareness drives, and emergency treatment camps. Through sustained community participation
and coordinated efforts with local volunteers, the Abhiyan has emerged as one of the most
effective grassroots movements for cattle welfare in the border region.
